Elsa's Lullaby

Elsa's Lullaby is a new video by the music artist NEeMA. A singer from Canada, of Eygyptian and Lebanese origin, she is an up and coming musician who took Elsa in as a stray off the streets. This lullaby shows the quiet and endearing moments between owner and dog and is a great song to listen to when you're feeling wistful.

  1. What I see is an irresponsible dog owner who is walking their dog around a city without a leash. She is setting a horrible example to dog owners EVERYWHERE! Someone should send this link to the rescue that she got this dog from. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to know that she's walking the dog without a leash. It's a slap in the face of the hard work that rescue people do to save animals like this.

  2. Thank you for your comments CJ. It is an interesting viewpoint you have and I totally understand your concerns as someone who is in dog rescue.

However, with all due respect, I must disagree with your opinion concerning this video. First of all, it is a video. In video shoots, there are several people on hand observing and working to complete the shoot. In my opinion, if there was any chance that Elsa would have escaped, I don't think they would have shot the video with her off-leash.

Secondly, most cities do have leash laws. However, some dogs are so well-trained, they behave as well off-leash as they do on-leash. Many trainers will offer lessons in how to train a dog to be obedient off-leash because many dog owners have dogs that are obedient enough to do so.

I don't think that NeEMA was trying to promote off-leash walking as a choice but rather show how much her dog means to her.
